CAIS Competition Conclusion

Stormbreakers Robotics competed in their first competition at Oregon City, CAIS on March 1st and 2nd. Throughout the event, our team has strived to set a good example for others by showing our cooperation with each other. The team managed to stay in the top 10 ranking and during the competition the robot has never completely broken down.

The data collected so far has shown us that we have a high accuracy in scoring points.
The Stormbreakers ended with a record of 6 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie. 60% of the time our robot was successfully able to harmonize with other robots on the same chain, and 98% of the time we were able to get on the chain. We also made the playoffs and became the first choice of the #7 alliance. We ended up with teams 847 PHRED, and 2635 Lake Monsters. We ended up getting 25 District Points from 15 qual points and 10 alliance points.

Our drivers and controllers mentioned that our robot was driving great, and the intake and note shooter were functioning well. Throughout the competition, StormBreakers had to opportunity to interact with various teams. During our time at CAIS, we learned several different strategies that will help us grow and improve in later competitions. When talking to other alliances we were able to expand our knowledge talking about what their robots specialized in, and strategize together.
